To provide a method of producing a target protein using a recombinant cell that undergoes autolysis by external stimulation, a method of lysing the recombinant cell, and the recombinant cell.SOLUTION: The method of producing a target protein includes: lysing a recombinant cell by applying a physical or chemical external stimulus to a target cell and a recombinant cell expressing a polypeptide having bacterial lytic activity; and collecting the target protein. Expression of the polypeptide is controlled by a constitutive promoter, and the polypeptide is expressed in the cytoplasm of the recombinant cell.SELECTED DRAWING: None
