To provide a method of production of a semiconductive polyimide belt in which the surface resistivity and volume resistivity thereof can be controlled and when imaging is performed in a low humidity, a toner is not heterogeneously transferred to a photo conductor to which a black toner is transferred.
This method of producing a semiconductive polyimide belt comprises: a process for dissolving a tetracarboxylic acid component and a diamine component in a dispersion in which a conductive filler A1 is dispersed in a solvent and polymerising these components to prepare a polyamic acid solution B1; a process for further stirring the solution B1 to prepare a polyamic acid solution B2 containing an aggregated conductive filler A2 produced by aggregating the filler A1; a process for dissolving a tetracarboxylic acid component and a diamine component in a dispersion in which a conductive filler A3 is dispersed in a solvent and polymerising these components to prepare a polyamic acid solution B3; a process for mixing the solution B2 and the solution B3 to prepare a solution mixture C; and a process for subjecting the polyamic acids to an imide-conversion by heating the solution mixture C to prepare a semiconductive polyimide belt.
