Abstract:

PURPOSE: To rapidly purify a large amount of 6-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-L- ascorbic acid or 6-O-α-D-galactopyranosyl-L-ascorbic acid in high yield simply by treatment with an anion exchange resin.
CONSTITUTION: A reactional mixture, containing 6-O-D-galactopyranosyl-L- ascorbic acid and obtained by enzymic reaction, microbial cell reaction or organic chemical reaction is adsorbed on a CH3COO- type strongly basic anion exchange resin and the 6-O-D-galactopyranosyl-ascorbic acid is then separated from the adsorbed reactional mixture.
