Abstract:

PURPOSE: To guarantee measurement precision and secure a dynamic range by measuring a dark-time output which can not be corrected by primary correc tion in a light cutoff state and performing secondary dark-time output correction by subtraction from an exposure-time output.
CONSTITUTION: The dark-time output voltage V0(I) of part of a chip (I) which constitutes an image sensor means is measured and exposuretime output voltages V(X) of respective elements (X) of the chip are measured to find a primary corrected voltage V1(X) (=V(X)-V0(I)). Then primary corrected dark-time output voltages V10(X) of the respective elements (X) of the chip are measured and converted from analog to digital to find NV10. Further, value NV1(X) from primary exposure-time output voltages V1(X) of the respective elements (X) of the chip by A/D conversion are found and secondary corrected values NV2(X) (=NV1(X)-NV10(X)) are found. An image in an object is read by using the secondary corrected values which are thus obtained.
