Abstract:

To enable to efficiently manufacture high-purity reformed gas with high hydrogen concentration, while utilizing the exothermic heat at the absorption of carbon dioxide gas generated at a steam reforming process for steam reforming reaction and while restraining the energy consumption.

Reforming reaction of reforming raw material into hydrogen is carried out at a high temperature of 700°C or higher, and at the same time, absorption of carbon dioxide gas by a carbon dioxide absorbent is carried out at a temperature higher than that of the reforming reaction, to utilize the exothermic heat at the time of absorption of the carbon dioxide gas for the reforming reaction. A carbon dioxide absorbent, containing Ba2TiO4as a main component, is used as the carbon dioxide absorbent. The temperature at which the carbon dioxide absorption is carried out with the use of the carbon dioxide absorbent is to be 800°C or lower. As a reaction heat source at steam reforming of the raw material gas, a surplus portion of heat added for releasing carbon dioxide gas from the carbon dioxide absorbent in the carbon dioxide releasing unit is utilized. For the reproduction of the carbon dioxide absorbent, combustion heat generated by combustion of unused reformed gas left unused in a fuel cell is utilized.
