Abstract:
To provide a method for selecting a microorganism and its components which contribute to the prevention and therapy of allergic diseases and immune diseases, such as autoimmune diseases or the like including inflammatory bowel diseases such as colon ulcer or the like.
The method, in which the coccus of the genus Lactococcus or its components inducing the IL-10 production in mammalian dendritic cells or spleen cells are selected, includes co-cultivating microorganisms such as the coccus of the genus Lactococcus or the like with an intestine epithelium cell line and selecting for caspase-1 activity and induction of IL-18 production.
