To provide a method for sterilizing a food packaging container or a food filling system which produces no irritating odor, requires no special processing for a waste liquid processing, and prevents an increase in the amount of disinfectant accompanied by heating the disinfectant agent.
A sterilized surface is sterilized under a combination of a medical agent sterilizing step for contacting a disinfectant used as aqueous solution including one or more kinds of element selected from hypochlorous acid or a hypochlorite, a surface active agent, a pH controller to the sterilized surface comprised of a surface of a food packaging container or a line pipe of a food filling system, equipment or an inside surface of it; and a heating sterilization step in which a temperature of the sterilized surface is increased.
