Abstract:

To provide a method capable of downsizing a sludge solubilizing tank by utilizing a microorganism which can effectively solubilize sludge, and also capable of treating the sludge at a low running cost without heating.

This method for treating the sludge is characterized by growing a microorganism, which can solubilize the sludge, and belongs to the genera Aeromonas, Enterobacter or Clostridium, in the sludge produced from an activated sludge process tank.
