Abstract:
To provide methods for treating uterine fibroids without highly invasive surgery and without fertility damage.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for treating uterine fibroid comprising the steps of: preparing an injectable or insertable formulation comprising a uterine fibroid treating agent in an effective amount to cause shrinkage of uterine fibroid; and injecting or inserting the formulation into the uterine fibroid, where the uterine fibroid treating agent is a collagenase. In certain embodiments, the collagenase is a mixture of collagenase I and collagenase II derived from Clostridium histolyticum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
