Abstract:
To provide a microbial membrane penetrating agent that can penetrate a membrane of microbe such as colibacillus with high efficiency and low toxicity, and introduce compounds of interest into microbial cells.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a microbial membrane penetrating agent comprising at least one of a first membrane penetrating peptide and a second membrane penetrating peptide, where the first membrane penetrating peptide comprises 4-26 of an independently selected amino acid. The microbial membrane penetrating agent can efficiently penetrate the membrane of bacteria such as Escherichia coli exhibiting low cytotoxicity. Bactericidal agents utilizing the penetrating agent of the invention can be used for antiseptic, bactericidal, sterilizing, agrohorticultural, medical or disinfecting purpose.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
