PURPOSE: To improve the fire resistance and dimensional stability by kneading the powdery or granular zeolite activated at high temp., cement, a water-soluble resin curing agent and/or reinforcing fibers to obtain the kneaded product for building material and compression-molding the product.
CONSTITUTION: One hundred pts.wt. of the powdery or granular zeolite activated at high temp. to have a moisture conditioning action, 10-100 pts.wt. of a hydraulic composition such as cement, 0-50 pts.wt. of a water-soluble resin curing agent or 0-10 pts.wt. of the reinforcing fibers such as vinylon fibers or 0-50 pts.wt. of the mixed material of the water-soluble resin curing agent and reinforcing fibers and 0-100 pts.wt. of water are mixed and kneaded to obtain the kneaded material for the building material. The product is compression-molded in an optional mold at 10-400kg/cm2 to obtain a humidity conditioning building material. Alternatively, metallic ion of Ag, etc., is deposited on the zeolite activated at high temp. as the pretreatment, other additives are added and mixed, and the mixture is molded to obtain a moisture conditioning building material having antifungus and fungiproof properties.
