Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3398851
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a moisture-resistant biodegradable resin foam having improved moisture resistance and biodegradability by foaming a composition containing starch, polyvinyl alcohol and an aliphatic polyester.
SOLUTION: 10-15wt.% water is added to a composition obtained by mixing 40-80wt.% starch with 10-20wt.% polyvinyl alcohol and 10-40wt.% aliphatic polyester or by mixing 40-80wt.% starch with 19-55wt.% polyvinyl alcohol and 1-5wt.% polypropylene, and the resulting mixture is fed into an extruder, subjected to conditions including a temperature of 200-270°C and a pressure of 60-100atm, and extruded from a nozzle into atmosphere to obtain a foam.
