Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform optimum exposure control in accordance with a change in an image of a subject.SOLUTION: A photographing apparatus comprises: an imaging unit that captures a subject image; a subject detection unit that detects a subject attention part as a subject or part of the subject from a captured image obtained through capturing by the imaging unit; a determination unit that determines the type of a lost scene in which the subject attention part is not detected by the subject detection unit; and an exposure control unit that corrects an exposure control amount calculated according to a photometric value on the basis of the type of the lost scene.
