Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving body detection device capable of detecting a moving body in a wider range even when a detection target region is dark.SOLUTION: A light emission unit 12 emits light to which an imaging element 17 has sensitivity, to an imaging space of an imaging unit 11 with a light distribution where a region apart from the center part of the imaging space has maximum brightness. An image processing unit 13 analyzes an image from the imaging element 17 and detects the presence/absence of a moving body in a detection target region. A control unit 15 puts off the light emission unit 12 and makes the imaging unit 11 and image processing unit 13 operate under a first condition, in a bright environment where object luminance obtained from the image from the imaging element 17 is equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold; and puts on the light emission unit 12 and makes the imaging unit 11 and image processing unit 13 operate under a second condition which is set depending on the light distribution of the light emission unit 12 and differs from the first condition, in a dark environment where the object luminance obtained from the image from the imaging element 17 is lower than the predetermined threshold.
