PURPOSE: To provide a multi-stage automobile fuel pump for supplying gasoline or other light hydrocarbon fuel to a spark ignition type internal combustion engine.

CONSTITUTION: This multi-stage automobile fuel pump 10 is provided with a casing 12 and a motor 14 arranged in the casing, and the motor 14 drives a primary and a secondary pumping section. The primary and secondary pumping sections share a common wall, the wall axially separates the primary 18 and secondary 26 pumping elements, and the fuel is moved from the primary pumping section to the secondary pumping section in such a manner as avoiding generation of turbulence and cavitation.
