PURPOSE: To provide the plane antenna using a leakage wave NRD guide simple in structure and capable of exciting a radiation element with a uniform electric field distribution.
CONSTITUTION: This plane antenna is constituted of one metallic plate 21 in which a radiation element is provided for every propagation wavelength λg, the other metallic plate 22 arranged in parallel at an interval of half-wavelength or below of a working frequency on one metallic plate thereof, a metallic wall 23 for supporting and connecting one metallic plate and the other metallic plate in its periphery, feeding parts 26, 27, and two leakage wave dielectric strips 24, 25 separated and arranged so as to be orthogonal to each other, which are inserted/held and provided between one metallic plate and the other metallic plate, and also, radiate a leakage radio wave without residual electric power, while transmitting electric power from the feeding part.
