Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the appeal of situation of a game and a show-up ability by causing a white band attached to a net body or the upper edge thereof to emit light each time when a point is gained.
SOLUTION: An electric light emitting device 8 is incorporated in or attached to each or one of a net body 6 constituting a volley ball net 4 and a white band 7. For example, the electric light emitting device 8 is inserted in a rope insertion hole 9 in the white band 7. The light emitting device 8 is composed of a flexible band body 11 such as a fabric to which light emitting elements 10 such as light emitting diodes are fixed at predetermined pitches. Further, the light emitting device 8 is connected to a commercial power source 13, and a referee 15 turns on the device each time when a point is gained. Teams may preferably be distinguished by different colors. Accordingly, the points are definitely known so as to give an appeal to audience.
