Abstract:
To provide an interlaminar adhesive of a fibrous sheet-like article, wherein sprayed starch is rapidly gelatinized even when the starch can not obtain sufficient energy to gelatinize, for example, in a high-speed paper machine, providing desired interlaminar adhesive strength and excellent in viscosity stability at low cost.
Starch is subjected to a pressure treatment using a vibration mill to give modified starch slurry requiring energy for gelatinization reduced to ≤2.5 J/g measured according to DSC method. Thus obtained starch slurry is used as an interlaminar adhesive of a fibrous sheet-like article.
