Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a large amount of a material coated with glassy carbon, free from adhesivity to molten metal and molten glass and exhibiting remarkable effect on the reduction of dust generation.
CONSTITUTION: This material coated with glassy carbon has a glassy carbon coating layer having a thickness of ≤0.1μm on the surface of a graphite substrate and contains the glassy carbon impregnated to a depth of ≥200μm from the graphite substrate surface.
