To provide a system and a method for secure transaction management and electronic rights protection.
An electronic device, equipped with a computer or the like, assures access or use only in an approved mode and assists the maintenance of the integrity, availability and/or confidentiality of information. Such an electronic device for controlling and/or measuring, or monitoring the use of information which is electronically stored or disseminated, offers a distributed virtual distribution environment (VDE), in which a secure chain of processing and control can be executed. VDE is used, in electronic commerce and other electronic handling or such handling as facilitated electronically, for the protection of rights of various participants. Distributed and other actuating systems, environment and architecture, for instance, use a processor of tamper-proof hardware base, and can establish security at each node. These technologies can be used for supporting all electronic information distribution which utilize "electronic highway".
