To provide an operation control method of a gasification melting system, and the system capable of performing proper control according to each situation corresponding to variation of a charging amount and heat generation of waste, and reducing CO concentration in an exhaust gas by keeping a stable combustion state.
In this operation control method of the gasification melting system wherein a thermal decomposition gas is generated by thermally decomposing the waste in a fluidized bed gasification furnace, ash content is melted by combustion heat of the thermal decomposition gas in a melting furnace to which the thermal decomposition gas is introduced, and combustion is performed in a secondary combustion chamber connected to the melting furnace, an upper limit value of furnace pressure in the fluidized bed gasification furnace is set in several stages, the system has a plurality of control operations respectively obtained by combining a changed value of supply amount of combustion air supplied to at least one of the secondary combustion chambers and a control hold time, the control operations are respectively related to the upper limit values, and the control operation corresponding to the upper limit value is selected on the basis of a detected value of the furnace pressure.
