To provide an optical attachment which can be easily attached/ detached to/from the lens barrel opening part of optical equipment.
The optical attachment is provided with a holder part 12 for holding an optical element F, a locking member 4 which is attached to the holder part 12 and which is engaged with the lens barrel opening part 1a when the attachment is inserted into the lens barrel opening part 1a, and an operating member 13 which is attached to the holder part 12 and which is moved relatively with respect to the holder part 12 so as to release the engagement of the opening part 1a, and the member 14 in accordance with an external operation in the case of detaching the attachment from the opening part 1a, and as for the operating member 13, the moving direction A13 at an operating time is made substantially orthogonal to the attaching/detaching direction B12 with respect to the opening part 1a.
