Abstract:

To increase the brightness of light to be emitted and to restrict the occurrence of siderobe and Moire interference fringe.

An optical component 8 is provided with substantially semispherical micro lenses 14 and prism lenses 15 having a triangular section, on a first major surface 13a of a substrate 13. The plurality of prism lenses 15 are arranged along a direction. The aspect ratio TL2/TM1 of the prism lenses 15 and the micro lenses 14 with reference to the first major surface 13a is set in the range of 10-90%. In a plan view, the surface ratio Mb/Ma of the micro lenses 14 to the first major surface 13a is in the range of 25-88%. Third projections 18 consisting of micro lenses are randomly provided on a second major surface 13b of the substrate 13 to enhance the diffusibility of light incident thereupon.
