Title:
OPTICAL MEMBER SUBJECTED TO WATER REPELLING TREATMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06138305
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the optical member having excellent durability and good water repellency by forming a water repelling treated layer of a two-layered structure composed of an adhesive layer which is securely and chemically bonded to the surface of a base material and a water repellent layer having good water repellency.

CONSTITUTION: An antireflection film is formed on the lens surface and the water repelling treated layer is formed on this antireflection film. The water repelling treated film of the base material surface is constituted of the two-layered structure constructed by providing the water repellent layer B via the adhesive layer A. The water repelling treated film having such two-layered structure is formed by a method of evaporating, for example, a material and bringing the evaporated material into contact with the base material in a treatment chamber evacuated to a vacuum. The water repelling treated film of the optical parts is made into the two-layered structure according to this constitution, by which the properties required for the respective layers are decreased. Namely, the width for selection of the water repelling treating materials widens correspondingly. Further, the water repelling treated film is securely chemically bonded to the base material surface by a dry processing method and, therefore, the durability is greatly improved as well.
