Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin film element like a display element which has an organic thin film capable of controlling the energy difference between a neutral ground state and an ionic excitation.
SOLUTION: This element has an organic thin film 4 composed of alternately laminated type charge transfer complex, which film contains (n) kinds of donor D1, D2,...Dn, and (m) kinds of acceptors A1, A2,...Am, and forms mixed crystal. Combination of donor molecules and acceptor molecules consists of a group forming ionic complex crystal and a group forming neutral complex crystal.
