To package containers of different forms by a plastic carrier by supporting a shaft of a first power transmission device by a self-aligning bearing and by supporting a shaft of a second power transmission device by a bearing attached to a frame of the device and a frame of a conveyer on its upper and lower portions.

A plastic carrier 9 fed from a reel 8 passes through a carrier roll 10 to reach a feed trough, and after a carrier side rim is folded, it is mounted on a rotary plate 11. On the other hand, containers collected as a package by the carrier 9 ate transferred along a guide 4 by a conveyer 35. A driving device including an electric motor and a decelerator is provided to drive such a device, and a shaft 29 of a first power transmission device is rotated by its power. The shaft 29 is supported by a self-aligning bearing and extends across a lower part of the conveyer 35 to an opposite side for transmitting power to a vertically extending shaft 20 of a second power transmission device.
