Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrapping material for a battery case that is so excellent in cold workability as to be capable of being shaped into a sharp form, also excellent in strength, and never whitened or eroded even if an electrolyte or the like adheres to it. SOLUTION: This wrapping material for a battery case having a total wrapping material thickness of 150 μm or less is formed by laminating, on the outermost side of one surface of aluminum foil, an oriented film having, on its front side, a coating layer that is formed of a material such as polyvinylidene chloride, a vinylidene chloride-vinyl chloride copolymer, maleic anhydride modified polypropylene, a polyester resin, an epoxy resin, a phenol resin, a fluororesin, cellulose ester, an urethan resin and an acrylic resin and is durable against an electrolyte containing a chlorine or fluorine containing lithium salt, and by laminating, on the outermost side of the other surface of the aluminum foil, a film of polypropylene, maleic acid modified polypropylene, an ethylene- acrylate copolymer or an ionomer resin.
