PURPOSE: To remove a paper piece through confirmation by installing a paper path guide unit in demountable manner on the paper feeding side of an upper stage paper cassette and integrally installing a paper path guide which covers a part on the upper side of a paper path on a lower stage paper cassette side.

CONSTITUTION: A paper path guide unit 6 is installed on the paper feeding side of an upper stage paper cassette 1, and a paper path is formed of the paper path guides 3a and 3b. In the paper path, a driving roller 11a and a pressure roller 11b are arranged. On the undersurface side of the paper path guides unit 6, a lower stage paper path guide 10 is integrally assembled so as to cover the upper side of the paper path in the vicinity of a pressure roller 4b, and a paper path is formed together with the lower stage paper path guides 9a and 9b. When paper clogging P is generated in the vicinity of the pressure roller 4b, the paper path guide unit 6 is demounted in the direction of arrow, and the upper side of the paper path is opened, and the paper can be easily removed via the opening.
