Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a rear-end collision by lighting a stop lamp even when only a parking brake is applied to enable a driver of a following vehicle to easily confirm the stop of the preceding vehicle.
CONSTITUTION: A parking brake stop lamp lighting system includes a stop lamp control circuit for lighting a stop lampSPL when a parking brake lever of a vehicle is operated to the brake side and a parking brake switch PKBSW is turned on, and extinguishing the stop lampSPL when the parking brake lever is operated to the brake release side and the parking brake switch PKBSW is turned off.
