PURPOSE: To provide the passage control method for automatic ticket examination which automatically perform passage control matching a current ticket examination without changing settings of a program for passage control artificially for entry or exiting even if ticket examination are different, station by station, or, day by day.

CONSTITUTION: When a person passes through the automatic ticket examination machine for both the entering and exiting directions from one side, passengers are inhibited from passing through the machine from the other side (oposite direction) for a certain time (wherein ticket examination in the same direction is allowed) and then passage in both directions is allowed the certain time later to measures increases or decreases in the number of entering op exiting passengers in each unit time. The ticket examination acceptance permissible time is adjusted to time matching the ticket time on the basis of those measured value to perform the passage control matching the ticket examination.
