Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor in which a fence to be installed outside a handrail is formed with high rigidity, whether the fence is new or existing and is arranged in a width of the passenger conveyor.SOLUTION: The passenger conveyor comprises: a plurality of footsteps 5, connected in an endless manner, which move between platforms; a handrail 6, provided at a side in an advancing direction of the plurality of footsteps, which has a handrail panel 12 and an outer deck 14 covering an outer lower part of the handrail panel; a moving arm rail 7, installed through an arm rail frame 16 above the handrail, which moves in synchronization with the footsteps; and a fence 8 arranged outside the handrail. The fence is arranged in a vertical projection plane of the outer deck, a lower end of which is fixed to the outer deck with a first fence fixing fitting and an intermediate part of which is fixed to the arm rail frame with a second fence fixing fitting.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
