Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a passenger conveyor which can absorb a relative story displacement produced in an architectural structure easily and can avoid excessive compressive force from being operated on a truss.SOLUTION: The passenger conveyor comprises a truss, a first truss support angle fixed to one end of the truss, a second truss support angle fixed to the other end of the truss, and a connection mechanism rotatably connecting between at least the first truss support angle and a first angle fulcrum. The connection mechanism contains: a bearing member which is fixed on the first angle fulcrum and includes a guide groove along the longitudinal direction of the truss; a shaft member which is rotatably connected to the first truss support angle and is movably fitted in the guide groove of the bearing member to the longitudinal direction; and an axial fastener which fixes the shaft member to the bearing member. The fastener spans between the shaft member and the bearing member in a sideways posture intersecting with the longitudinal direction of the truss and is provided in at least one position of the fastener with a breakage planned part whose mechanical strength is smaller than other portions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
