Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral device of a portable viewing device excellent in usability and to provide a broadcasting viewing system.
SOLUTION: A fixed type peripheral device 1 receives broadcasting and stores encoded video data in a memory card 3. A portable viewing device 2 decodes the encoded video data stored in the memory card 3 and displays the video data on a liquid crystal display panel 202 in video. A channel selection information for receiving broadcasting in the fixed type peripheral device 1 is given from the memory card 3. The portable viewing device 2 stores channel selection information inputted by a user in the memory card 3. The portable viewing device 2 receives power supply for charging power from the fixed type peripheral device 1.
