This photoselective absorption lens comprises a thermoplastic norbornene resin having a norbornane skeleton in its repeating units. The norbornane skeleton is represented by formula I, II or the like. In the formulae I and II, A-D are each H or a monovalent org. group. The resin is, e.g. a hydrogenated polymer obtd. by hydrogenating a polymer obtd. by metathesis- polymerizing at least one kind of a tetracyclododecene deriv. or an unsatd. cyclic compd. copolymerizable with the tetracyclododecene.
