Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture input-type robot system where introduction to the line of many kinds in small quantities is easily executed by unnecessitating not only direct teaching but also off-line teaching.
SOLUTION: The picture input-type robot system is provided with a robot 4 working in works 2 and 3, a work picturizing means 1 obtaining a work picture which expresses the shape of the work, a work shape detecting means 6 operating shape data which expresses the work shape from the work picture obtained by the work picturizing means 1 and detecting the work shape and a robot language string generating means 7 referring to register data concerning robot work process which is previously decided in accordance with the kinds of the work shapes and to shape data which is detected by the work shape detecting means 6 so as to generate a robot language string for indicating desired work to the robot.
