To provide a pipe conveying apparatus capable of reducing time and labor necessary for a work to separate a first conveying carriage and a second conveying carriage by removing a connection member.SOLUTION: A pipe conveying apparatus includes a first conveying carriage for conveying a first pipe, a second conveying carriage 15 for conveying a second pipe 14, and a connection device 16 for connecting the first conveying carriage and the second conveying carriage 15. The connection device 16 has a connection member 28 attachable to and detachable from the first conveying carriage at one end portion, and attachable to and detachable from the second conveying carriage 15 at the other end portion. An engagement member 36 capable of being engaged with and disengaged from one of the first and second conveying carriages, is disposed on an end portion of the connection member 28, a switching device 37 for switching the engagement member 36 from an engaged state to a disengaged state, is disposed on the connection member 28, the switching device 37 has an operation portion 45 for operating the switching device 37, and the operation portion 45 is exposed to a space formed between the first pipe on the first conveying carriage and the second pipe 14 on the second conveying carriage 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
