To provide a plate pressing structure of a metal strip slitter that can feed a metallic belt plate into the slit part of a slitter continuously with a flat posture over whole width.
Multiple disc cutters 10, 10 are fixed to correspond to parallel revolving shafts 1, 1 and a wide metallic belt plate 3 is fed into corresponding cutters 10, 10 continuously. A first plate pressing guide 4 positioned between cutters 10, 10 in a slit part 20 to slit the metallic belt plate 3 on a narrow multiple metal strip 30 is installed. The first plate pressing guide 4 slides to or approaches to the sides of cutters 10 on both sides and the surface of the travelling metallic belt plate 3. Also, a second plate pressing guide 5 positioned on the upper stream side of feeding direction of each cutter 10 is installed. The tip part of the second plate pressing guide 5 approaches to and covers the upper stream side of feeding direction of outer circumference of cutters 10, 10 and slides to or approaches to the surface of the travelling metallic belt plate 3.
