PURPOSE: To provide a pointer type electronic watch having a display panel in which the size of display panel can be ensured sufficiently even when a plurality of display panels are combined.

CONSTITUTION: An upper housing 1 of synthetic resin having a central through hole 2 for passing the pointer shaft 19 of an analog movement 17 is provided with two panel containing holes 5, 6 on the opposite sides of the through hole 2. Resilient pressers 7, 8 for pressing two liquid crystal display panels 3, 4, to be placed in respective panel containing holes 5, 6 against the opposing side walls 5a, 6a of the panel containing holes 5, 6 are formed integrally at a part between the through hole 2 and the outer peripheral part of the upper housing 1. The resilient pressers 7, 8 are not protruded entirely from the side walls 5b, 6b of the panel containing holes 5, 6 but only the parts 7e, 8e of the pressers 7, 8, abutting on the liquid crystal display panels 3, 4, are protruded into the panel containing holes 5, 6.
