PURPOSE: To remarkably improve productivity in a convex polishing device such as a crystal vibrator, etc., of a thickness vibration system by planetarily moving a carrier fitted to a polishing body while profiling to the inner peripheral wall face of a round.
CONSTITUTION: The inner peripheral wall of an R bowl 1 is formed in a spherical face, an outer peripheral gear 11 is formed at the peripheral edge part and the driving shaft 12 extended from the outside wall of this spherical face is provided so as to be driven by its rotation. A driving shaft 13 is then provided on the extension of the driving shaft 12 and at its tip part a center gear 14 is provided. Plural carriers 15 formed with a tooth wheel on the outer peripheral edge are bitten with the both parts of the outer peripheral gear 11 and center gear 14 so as to perform a planetary movement. In performing convex working, a polishing work 2, a crystal piece, for example, is sticked to the front face of a jig 16 and inserted into the holding hole 17 of the respective carrier 15. When the driving shaft 12, 13 of the R bowl 1 are driven by rotation while dropping an abrasive material by soluting it in water, the carrier 15 performs the planetary movement to polish the polishing body 2.
