PURPOSE: To produce the subject new polyallyl compounds having a high density of functional groups per unit weight, excellent in curability and chemical resistance, capable of ready induction into an epoxy ring or an alcohol by oxidation and useful as a raw material of curable resins and as a raw material of epoxy resins.

CONSTITUTION: Compounds of the formula (X is SO2, CR1R2, S, O or single bond; R1 and R2 are H, 1-8C alkyl or aryl which may have substituent. These may be mutually bonded to form 5-6-membered ring), e.g. bis(3,5-diallyl-4- hydroxyphenyl)sulfone. The above-exemplified compound is obtained by reacting bis(3-allyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfone with ally bromide in the presence of potasium carbonate and N,N-dimethylacetamide.
