Title:
PORTABLE POSITION DETECTOR AND POSITION MANAGING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3532773
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable position detector for enhancing a walker's position detecting accuracy by an autonomous navigation by more accurately detecting a walker's moving bearing even if reception of GPS signal is impossible (or without receiving the signal) and altering to a step meeting a walking state and a position managing system.
SOLUTION: A moved position is detected by calculating 'number of steps ×step width' by using a portable position detector of the user, and corrected to a step meeting a walking state from a walking time per one step by using an acceleration sensor 23. A person's moving position is detected with good accuracy via an autonomous navigation by detecting a moving direction by using a geomagnetic sensor 13. Particularly, even in the case of positioning at a forest, a valley among buildings or the like capable of receiving no GPS satellite signal due to the presence of a multi-story building, a cliff, the forest or the like, the position of the person carrying the detector by the navigation applicable to a walker and portable size and weight can be known practically with sufficient accuracy while enhancing an accuracy of the step.
