To provide a powder feeder capable of enhancing the quantitativeness of a powder material to be conveyed.
The powder feeder includes: a cylindrical barrel including a first zone into which the powder material is introduced, and a second zone in which the powder material conveyed from the first zone is compressed, and also, the powder material is discharged from a discharge port thereof; a screw which is rotationally driven in the barrel to convey the powder material from the first zone to the second zone in the axial direction of the barrel, and also compress the powder material in the second zone; and a plurality of dispersing members fixed to the barrel along the circumferential direction so as to protrude from the inner surface of the barrel toward the inner space in the second zone. Resistance is applied by the dispersing members to the powder material conveyed in the axial direction of the barrel to enhance the compression work of the powder material, and the compressed powder material is brought in contact with the dispersing members to disperse the powder material.
