PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter which can suppress an energy loss.
SOLUTION: This power converter has an inverter 7, which is connected to a DC line 1 via a contactor 3 as a load drive unit and a load 8 which receives the output of the inverter 7. An energy storage unit 12 is connected between the contactor 3 and the inverter 7.
