To provide a power unit with a torque converter arranged on a crank shaft of an internal combustion engine, having a reduced weight by using small and light means for allowing a water pump to be placed at the front end of a power unit casing to prevent the complicated form of the power unit casing and reduce the length of a hose between a radiator and itself.
The torque converter is arranged at the end of the crank shaft at the front side of a vehicle body, and an oil pump shaft driving endless transmission member and a valve system cam shaft driving endless transmission member are arranged at the front part of the crank shaft and at the rear part thereof, respectively. The water pump to be coaxially connected to the rotating shaft of an oil pump to be driven by the oil pump shaft driving endless transmission member is arranged at the front part of the power unit.
