Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage or deformation of a preform at the time of discharging it from a molding machine by sequentially conveying at least two sets of pots having inner walls of substantially the same shape as its profile and cooling water circulating channels to an ejection unit and a discharging position.
SOLUTION: An additional cooling conveyor 50 has one set of pot 52 disposed at an ejection unit 16 for receiving an ejected preform 1, one set of pot 52 disposed at a discharging position of the preform 1 at a discharging mechanism 48 side for discharging the preform 1 out of the machine, and a conveying mechanism 54 for sequentially conveying the two sets of the pots 52 to the unit 16 and discharging position. The each pot 52 has an inner wall 60 of substantially the same shape as the profile of the preform 1 and a water channel 64 formed to surround the wall 60 to circulate cooling water. Thus, the wall 60 is brought into contact with outer surfaces of a body and bottom of the preform 1 and cooled in the state that the preform 1 is received.
