PURPOSE: To improve durability, working efficiency and yield by forming a press cut edge used for a press type cutting machine for cutting an austenite group stainless steel pipe by the coating of a specific ceramic coated film on the substrate of a powder high speed steel.
CONSTITUTION: A press cut cutter is formed by coating the substrate of a powder-speed steel with a ceramic coated film of VC, NbC, CrC, etc., in a thickness of 3-15μm through the TD process. As the powder vice which is manufactured by hot forging rolling pressing the material which is formed by the ingot making of the powder through the high temperature hydrostatic pressure compression (HIP) process, is used the material which is vacuum baked and tempering processed to a Rockwell hardness of 55-63. By using such a press cut cutter, toughness and abrasion resistance can be improved, and the number of times of cutting can be increased drastically, and the working efficiency in a line and yield can be improved.
