PURPOSE: To arbitrarily select the obverse and reverse of a paper form discharged onto paper discharge trays by feeding the paper form passing through a paper form conveying route after forming a picture and placing the paper form with its obverse or reverse facing upward by a direction selecting member so as to be discharged to the first paper discharge tray or the second paper discharge tray.

CONSTITUTION: Fetching a paper form to the inside of a main unit 10 from a paper feed cassette 20, a picture is formed by a picture forming means. Thereafter, the paper form passes through a paper form conveying route, being discharged to the first paper discharge tray 22 or the second paper discharge tray 18. That is, when the first discharge direction is determined by a direction selecting member 52, for instance, the paper form is placed in a condition with its picture forming surface facing upward and discharged being left as in that condition onto the first paper discharge tray 22. When the second discharge direction is reversely set by the direction selecting member 52, the paper form is reversed and discharged onto the second paper discharge tray 18 provided in the inside of the main unit of a printer 12. In this way, the paper form can be discharged onto the paper discharge tray with the obverse and the reverse for exclusive use.
