Title:
PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING GOLF CLUB SHAFT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3165060
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To largely improve the working efficiency in comparison with the conventional process and manufacture uniformly molded golf club shafts with a fine reproducibility, in a process for manufacturing a golf club shaft, by the internal pressure molding.
SOLUTION: A prepreg 2 of a reinforcing fiber impregnated with a thermosetting resin is wound around a mandrel 1 to obtain a wound laminate 4, which is then solidified by cooling and drawn from the mandrel 1. Then, an elastomeric tube 5 is inserted in a hollow part of this drawn wound laminate 4a, compressed air 7 is brought in the elastomeric tube 5 to cause an expansion, and with applying the internal pressure, the wound laminate 4a of the prepreg 2 is molded by heating with a metal mold 6 for molding.
