Abstract:
To efficiently achieve processing on a convolutional layer of a convolutional neural network.SOLUTION: A processing apparatus performs convolutional processing on input data of a convolutional layer of a convolutional neural network, the input data being two-dimensional data having data in every cell, and has: arrangement means that selects a plurality of areas from the input data, connects data of the plurality of areas, and arranges the data at continuous addresses on a main memory as arrangement data; and processing means that reads out the arrangement data with a processor and performs convolutional processing using a filter on the arrangement data. The size in a row direction of the plurality of areas is a size corresponding to the integral multiple of the number of cells that can be collectively read out by the processor. The plurality of areas each have data overlapping rows of the other area in a number of rows equal to the number obtained by subtracting 1 from the size of the filter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
