Abstract:
PURPOSE: To seal pores of a cast easily by pressing a block, formed by burying a cast material of defective structure in powder selected from the group consisting of Bn, Si3N4, etc., in a prescribed hot hydrostatic pressure atmosphere (HIP).
CONSTITUTION: A cast material having a defective structure is buried in refractory material powder selected from the group consisting of Bn, Si3N4, Al2O3, ZrO2, and bicoal glass. Then, the said refractory material powder and cast material are made into a block by cold hydrostatic pressure treatment. This block is put in a capsule for molding and HIP treatment HIP is carried out. Thus, pores in the caset material disappear to eliminate the structural defection.
